The AARCH project was formed in 2001 in an effort to preserve and make accessible the
African American history and culture of Frederick County, Maryland.  This project was an
initiative of the Frederick Historic Sites Consortium of the Tourism Council of Frederick
County with preliminary funding from Maryland's Historical and Cultural Museum
Assistance Program and The Community Foundation of Frederick.  The self-guided
African American Heritage Walking Tour Guide of Frederick was produced from this first
initiative.  Following this project, and independent AARCH organization was spearheaded
by the late William O. Lee in an effort to establish a Frederick County African American
Museum.  Click here to download an AARCH Membership Application

All Saints Street (located on the southwest corner of West All Saints & Ice Streets) at 11:
00 a.m.  All persons who share this vision are invited to attend meetings.
